BC is currently under a state of emergency with over 160 wildfires burning across the province and almost 40,000 British Columbians displaced from their homes; this is one of the worst fire seasons in BC's history. To help aid our fellow British Columbians, Redwoods donated the course on Tuesday, August 1st and hosted the Drive for Relief Shotgun Tournament to raise funds for those affected by the BC wildfires!
The tournament cost $125 per golfer and participants received a ticket to the tailgate party held prior to the shotgun start with a live band All Things Blue, 18 holes of golf with a power cart, a Redwood's buffet dinner, silent auction, and more live music by The Whiskey Jays!
Every penny of the $125 went directly towards wildfire victims!
**Our Golf Pros held lessons by donation at our practice facilities prior to the tournament. All money raised through the lessons went directly to wildfire relief.

Thank you so much for all of the support! We are so proud and humbled by what occurred on August 1st with the Drive for Relief and the short two weeks leading up to the tournament. We are overwhelmed with the positive response and support that this event received on such short notice. It was amazing to have so much support come in from the golf industry, our vendors, local businesses, the media, the Redwoods staff, and of course our fantastic Langley community.
When Redwoods Managing Director Doug Hawley first came up with the idea of the tournament, all the Redwoods staff was excited for the opportunity to help our fellow British Columbians that are affected by the BC wildfires. THANK YOU, EVERYONE, for helping raise over $50,000 for the Canadian Red Cross and BC wildfire relief!

We are very fortunate to have such an amazing group of employees here at Redwoods! Team Woods members (107 employees strong) are donating one day's pay to the fundraiser!
