Operated by Ten Feet Sports and Entertainment (TFSE), Redwoods Golf Course has been serving locals and guests since 1994. We aren't your typical public golf course! We are also a wedding facility, a restaurant, and the go-to place in Langley to host charity golf tournaments. Every day is something different and exciting!

This part-time position begins in September and includes the following:

• Hourly wage of $23.50 - $26.45 per hour

Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for recording, reporting, tracking, and completing transactions related to TFSE business at the Redwoods Golf Course.

• Verify cash, credit, and debit transactions after events and ensure that it balances with applicable reports
• Gather cash together, create deposit slips, and package everything together for collection by Garda
• Create floats for servers and retail locations as needed
• Clean and reconcile floats after events
• Balance the safe
• Ensure a continued supply of change for the safe, including going to the bank to collect coin orders
• Deposit cheques and cash, track the payment details and balance against customer ledgers
• Complete a weekly breakdown of all revenue, allocate into sales form, various locations/types, deposits taken payments for events etc.
• Enter payroll timesheets on the payroll date
• Enter invoices into Sage, and ensure appropriate coding is provided by the applicable Manager
• Assist with audit duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Experience with MS Windows 10 operating system
• Cash handling experience

Qualifications

• Completion of post-secondary education in a discipline such as accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or other related disciplines
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar role
• Willingness to complete a Police Information Check
• Valid First Aid Level 1, CPS and AED Certification, or equivalent will be required to be maintained during employment
